Dr. Amit Bhambri is an Illinois native, born and raised in the Chicagoland area. He attended Loyola University Chicago where he double majored and obtained his B.A. in Psychology and his B.S. in Political Science. Upon completing his undergrad work, Dr. Bhambri became fascinated with the eye and both its structure and function. He decided to learn more about the eye by attending graduate school to become an optometrist. Dr. Bhambri graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2011 and has been practicing optometry in the Chicagoland area since.
Dr. Bhambri strongly believes in listening to what his patients have to say and addressing their visual needs accordingly. With 12 years of clinical experience and a strong clinical and educational background, Dr. Bhambri practices routine and medical optometry with sound clinical judgment and a diverse skill set. Some of his medical management cases include managing diabetes, glaucoma, cataracts, co-management of surgeries with local ophthalmologists, conjunctivitis, dry eyes, keratoconus, red eye and foreign body removals, to name a few. More than anything else, he wants his patients to be healthy, happy and to see clearly and comfortably.
In his free time, Dr. Bhambri loves to watch and play sports, travel, enjoy the warm summer weather, exercise, and spend time with his family and friends. He is excited to join Midwest Eye Centers and put his eyecare expertise to work.
